Welcome to my blog! This is where I will attempt to chronicle the adventures, experiences, sights and sounds from my time as a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal.
I have to admit, I'm not much for keeping a journal and I've never had a blog, but I'm excited to share my new life with all of you!

I'm nearing in on the 1-month countdown until my departure. My life right now consists of lots of shopping for Africa items, packing my apartment, and spending as much time as possible with my Chicago friends.
Thank you to all of you who have given me words of encouragement and support during this process. It has been a LONG journey to get here filled with many moments of soul searching, but a new chapter in my life is about to begin and I couldn't be more excited.
